New Shades Of Blue

On this late October night

There are no stars in sight

Because the sky is bright with… moonshine

Bedazzled by the yellow glow

I’m getting drunk on it I know

Everywhere you look there’s so much… moonshine

Bathing in the fullness of its pearl like luminescence

It beckons me to howl and sing

Overtaken by the shine it lit

Intoxicated by the spell of it

I must take one more sip… of moonshine
